I’m Back! (And some other stuff)

Wow. It sure is nice to be back after more than a month of being on hiatus. Life happens and well, you know, you get very busy and tired and you just hafta find time for everything and to do that I had to stop doing reviews(very hard move on my part).

Anyway, I’m back and I’ll be writing again reviews not just for TV shows but also of movies. YAY!

Also, the name of my site has been changed to “Geeky Ant“, i think this name is better and more fitting AND I’m adding more stuff to my site like comic book reviews, manga(and/or anime) reviews, gaming reviews and so much more! Hopefully you guys can forgive me for being MIA for a while, but I’m here, back in front of a computer hopefully you guys are still here.

Thanks and I’ll see you guys again here soon! πŸ˜€

Gotham Episode 3 “The Balloonman” Review

Gotham

HOME!” I really just wanted to start off the review with RLT’s opening line. It maybe a little too early for me to say this but this week’s episode feels more like home. I believe that they’re in a comfortable place since they’ve started. The first 2 episodes felt like they were somehow centered into introducing us to characters. Now, we get a feeling of knowing the characters well (although there are still some more character developments to be done) in this episode. It’s much more comfortable to watch them now.

Anyway, let’s get along with the review. Watch out for potential spoilers if you haven’t seen the episode.

Backlogs and Updates!

Sooooooooooooooo…. I haven’t posted my review of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. yet. I was able to watch it, I was just pre-occupied by more pressing matters. I will be posting both reviews for AoS (Episode 1 & 2 of Season 2) tomorrow and for Legend of Korra‘s season premiere (Book Four), I still hafta finish catching up on Book Three, so sometime around next week. πŸ™‚

Speaking of next week, it’s going to be crazyyyyyyyyy. We’ve got the season 3 premiere of Arrow and the series premiere of The Flash. So excited for Arrow to be coming back and for The Flash to finally have it’s premiere. AND they’re doing a crossover episode this season too! I. CAN’T. WAIT.

Also, I will be adding a new series since people have asked me to review it. I’ll be adding The Strain from FX. I’m still thinking if you guys want me to do each episode or watch the whole bunch and catch up to it. We’ll figure it out. There’s another one that I’ve been contemplating about on adding to my watch list. It’s Intruders from BBC. I’ve got all current episodes in my DVR but I’ve only seen the pilot, I’m still thinking about it. 😐 I’ll prolly watch the rest of the episodes and then decide after that.

I’m still improving on my site and a surprise will be coming before the week ends. πŸ˜€

Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the day and I’ll see you guys later! πŸ˜€

Gotham Pilot Episode Review

Gotham

Gotham? Batman? Where is Batman?

Well, no Batman yet, we are way too early to see the Dark Knight in the set of Gotham. Bruce Wayne is not even in high school.

What we do get is the origin story for several Batman characters like James “Jim” Gordon (Ben McKenzie) who is a returning soldier and is a rookie detective on GCPD (quite far from his Commissioner days that we know from Batman: The Animated series and the other Batman movies that we’ve seen him in) alongside Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), Bruce Wayne (Davis Mazouz), Alfred Penny Worth (Sean Pertwee), Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), Barbara Kean (Erin Richards), Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor), Renee Montoya (Victoria Cartagena), Carmine Falcone (John Doman), Ivy Pepper(Clare Foley) and an unidentified role to be played by Sara Paxton. Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) is not in the original Batman mythos (the ones that i’ve read) and i’m treating her as a new character.

If you still haven’t seen the episode (which I personally think you should), careful for spoilers from the episode.

Ready? Here we go! Continue reading
